I’m very proud to announce the jazz ensemble at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette reached out to me about performing my hit single Big Band Counterpoint. I was, of course, happy to provide them with the music and delighted to hear their interpretation (which included some fun adjustments to the instrumentation).
Since BBCP was the debut of my “virtual big band” in the socially-distanced summer of 2020, this was actually the live premiere of the piece! I attended the performance via live-stream, but the video is (for now, anyway) still archived on YouTube. The band did a great job, so check it out if you can!
